Hmmm....that sounds logical. But the weird thing is I just keep making more and more money every year. There has to be a reason. I look at it like this...10 years ago the internet had a certain group of people: That was the people who could AFFORD a computer. It was expensive!
Now, everybody is online. Computers are a couple of hundred bucks, and hell you can go to public places and use a computer so you don't even have to buy one.
Do I expect a guy who makes minimum wage and can barely afford to put overpriced gasoline in his car to buy a premium membership and act like a VIP in life in every way?
No.
But that group or class of people who can afford it still do.
People make the mistake of saying "Oh 90 + % of people are surfing the tubes"
Well, look around you in real life. 90 + % of people don't have much expendable income.
Now that all those people who don't have money are online it's gonna skew the statistics.
But that 10% that used to be 100% of the surfers are still online. They just have nicer computers and a faster internet connection. lol
And they are spending MORE money than ever before on internet porn. That's how people are making millions and millions of dollars online right now. It isn't a mistake, and it isn't a myth. It's very real.
The tubes and torrents are a threat. But a pretty damn small one to me.
Now, if I were an affiliate still pushing all my traffic to some of the generic sites? I would definitely be seeing my income take a free fall.
I think that is what causes all the threads on here about the "industry" (whatever the fuck that means) "dying".
No, the "industry" is just fine. It's just that some business models are dying.
I saw it happen in 1999 when amateur sites replaced teen sites as the big seller. Suddenly all those sites that were making money hand over fist with cute little teen girls wearing white panties found that sites with grainy photography of "real" people were killing them.
And every affiliate who had all their eggs in the teen niche category were screaming that the "industry" was dying.
Hell, a lot of very big companies that many of you are too new to even remember....went bankrupt.
It happened again when the "reality" sites shooting their own content exploded onto the scene a couple of years later.
I was making 15 grand a month just running a gallery a week for MaxCash.
All of a sudden that was dead.
Did I scream that the "industry" was dying?
NO.
But a lot of people did and blamed my tgp's for the problem! LOL
What did I do?
I changed my links over to BangBus and Milf Hunter and started making even more money.
Same shit here. The reality sites have pretty much played out.
The surfer now realizes that it's the same 20 porn girls in Los Angeles shooting for every company. And there is no way to interact with those girls. You can't email 'em, you can't talk to them on a forum. You can't talk to them on live webcam.
So why be a member if all you can do is watch videos? You CAN do that for free on a tube site.
But you can't do all the interaction or develop brand loyalty on a tube site the way you can with a solo girl site.
I switched my shit over and now I'm making even more money.
And when the time comes that something else comes along to replace solo girl sites as the big money maker I'll switch over to that too.
The "industry" is doing just fine. My bank account says so.
