But let's face it, this is a moot point, if a processor goes under on a revshare program, either the program owner doesn't have enough money to pay what's owed to his affiliates or he'll run and hide or tell you that you are his 'partner' and were subject to the same risk he was.

You're right of course.
Yet there are exceptions. Not quite the same scenario, but look at Maxcash about 2 years ago or so.... big mess of a court battle, their bank accounts on hold, affiliates waiting for their payments. Anyone remember this? Fact is, Maxcash made good on EVERYTHING THEY SAID, they did make people wait a few months, some more than others, but everyone (including me) got paid in full. I didn't hear them once complain about it either, or try to run and hide or blow anyone off.
Yes, if only all programs had half the onions of Maxcash. I'm sure there are others that would make good on money owed under processor difficulties though, I can name several that I have a lot of confidence in.
