Lagerbäck the Swedish coach is too passive. He is also deadly afraid of putting new players in the team, Sweden have a pretty good team they just need a new coach to play the younger players. Take a guy like Kim Källström, very good midfielder that is getting better and better and plays every game for Lyon in the French league, he got to play like 30 minutes total in these 3 games in favour for Anders Svensson who is a old swedish league player that happened to score a goal against Argentina in WC 02.
