I think your argument is flawed. What is the difference between reading a book about someones life vs watching it on TV? Is it because you trust the publishers more than the tv producers?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of "reality" TV. But fuck, it's all just something to do with your time. We can't always be working, partying, hanging out, or whatever. It is a release, a way to relax, a way to escape. Who are we to judge what others like? It is obvious that the masses like "reality" TV otherwise people wouldn't tune in.
