I remember in the late 70's early 80's when gas was $1.50 and minimum wage was $3 an hour. So a person on minimum wage had oto work 30 minutes for gallon of gas. Today with minmum wage being $6.55 and gas being $4 a person working for minimum wage has to work 37 minutes for a gallon of gas. Of course with better technology the average minimum wage worker has to buy 50% less gas to go the same amount of miles compared to 1978-1981
