You could also say that Hitler was one of the greatest public speakers of the 20th century, and you would be right. Which goes to show that while public speaking might be an asset in getting the job, it certainly does not guarantee one will do a good job at it.
Obama does lack experience, which is a shame. His public speaking abilities do not change that. Of course, given the fact that Obama's platform would beat McCain's platform even if every single aspect of it was botched in the execution, I'd say Obama is the only reasonable choice now.
