We went from zero to landing men on the moon in just under 10 years. Why? Because we had drive and determination as a nation to do it. Having the nation behind that kind of determination is what causes us to advance further and faster.
He isn't going to use the money for global warming but for education, yet knowing how govt works it would end up everywhere but there. So in the meantime thousands of jobs are lost and a entire industry that drives advancements goes to nothing.
I'd say we could cut back on a B2 bomber or two and save a few billion or quit subsidising big oil and corm farmers who grow it for fuel. There are a million places to save money with out taking away something as important as NASA.
