It's a toss up. We could spend the $ to make the earth more suitable for more people. Or we could spend the $ on NASA and start the great migration to other planets to solve our over-population issues.
IMO i think we should be betting on expanding on to other planets. When gallon of gas or a loaf of bread costs $30 no ones going to give a shit about the environment....period.
Lets just hope some other Alien race doesn't consider us a Virus & exterminate us once we're start inhabiting other planets.
