I'm not a parent, but I know that you need to have him know that you are not an idiot, you had his age before, and you can fucking smell cigarette smoke... if he's still lying to you about it, he's not showing respect... thats my 1 cent.
And I also vote for the wardrobe experiment.
When I had about his age, my mom told me I could do whatever I wanted... so I smoked. I don't smoke anymore... but I wish that someone could have made me realize so I would have never touched a cigarette again.
