I know some people who travel every day to a job 100km away. Obviously the fuel consumption is better at highway speeds but it's still a fair amount of petrol (around $USD30 per day), and more importantly, wear and tear on the mechanicals. To stick to defined service intervals they'd need to have their car done every 45-60 days.
Hmm.. I get 13L/100km and I have a 4 cylinder with no climate control... sounds like you've got the better deal
