Maybe because he also has a daily, nationally syndicated 3 hr radio show too...

I don't care much for him, yep he does come off very doom and gloom on many subjects, the surprising thing is (at least on his radio show) when the topic isn't politics or some serious subject, he can be quite funny and I've often thought he would be much more palatable to people if he stuck to that format.
My biggest gripe with him is he is very judgemental on any morality type subjects.
The most irritating thing about him (at least to me) is he reads fairly lengthy, prepared subject matter on his radio shows in a style that emulates a ministers soft spoken sermon in both cadance and somehow always seems to contain a "message" as most sermons do.
I don't have any problem listening to an opposing view, but I really don't care to be preached to, even if I agree 100%. That approach just rubs me wrong.
