My understanding of it was always that the surfer likes the fact that some guy's wife is getting used, as opposed to focusing on the dude getting humiliated (i.e. it'd work just as well if she said "But my husband..." and he wasn't there, but would probably be less believable without her "husband" being there).
If you want a strange one, explain scat to me. Surely if you are turned on by shit and excretion, that's going to bring various complications to your life, including:
- Blowing your load every time you drop the kids off at the pool
- Looking like a paedo after you've just potty trained your child
- Enjoying chocolate ice cream just that little bit too much
- Washing your bed linen in hydrochloric acid
- Having to avoid taking a walk in your dog-poop covered park in case you look like a dog fucker
