If it is showing todays date, that is most likely the pending amount and has not actually been paid, so tomorrow it will show a new date and will still be pending. If tomorrow it shows today's date, it has been marked as paid, but that doesn't mean you actually got a payment for it or will get a payment for it. I show several payments over the past year, but never received several of the checks.
