Mccain is almost certainly going to lose unless someone kills obama. Murdoch seems to want to go with public opinion. It is not uncommon that businessmen and corporations will support both the republican and the democrat in the same race. If the winner is clear, then they may only give money to the winner.
America may be entering a new era when entertainment news is less popular. If Americans become very poor, they may watch less news (even if it is entertaining) and start watching more fantasy/fiction/drama/action/comedy shows to forget about reality.
The more important question is .... will Obama support Murdoch?
I am sure Obama will be flooded with donations from corporations and rich business people because they will hope to be treated nicely by Obama after he wins. How will this affect Obama? I don't know.

I dunno... Obama told the detroit auto big wigs to their face " you guys have got to do better" on fuel economy and told them flat out once hes in office there would be changes thats proably gonna have an impact on their bottom lines
I honestly believe a large part of corporate america is scared to death of an Obama president. I was watching fox one day and they had some big time CEO on there and he was saying that Obama was going to kill american corporations because he wants to reverse the trend in outsourcing overseas
that means corps will have to pay more for US labor and thus less profits for shareholders and CEO's
