How do you manage your traffic?

For instance, if you had tons of sites and wanted to test another sponsor, would you have to go in and individually change every affiliate link, or do you have a more efficient method?

I personally do a php redirect, that away I just have to change the link on the one php file that's on the server. I'm sure a lot of people do something similar to this, but I would like to see different opinions.
