Few examples showing that some people don't realise that there are new domain name extensions, like .INFO or .BIZ.
I admit that these extensions aren't as popular as .com or .net, but they do exist !
Unfortunately some people don't realise it. Here are few examples:
1. I submit a gallery to one of of the biggest ( however not as big as The Hun or PK ) tgp's in the email field providing my .info email adress. The submission is declined becasue of invalid email
( email in wrong format ). I email the guy to fix it and get no reply.
2. I sign up for a trial to Cute Girl Friend. I want to cancel immediately so I go to Ibills.com. I don't remember exactly but there was an option to enter the email adress instead of the subscription no. So I enter my .info email but the system asks me to enter a valid, 3 letter domain extension or a 2 letter ohahahahary extension. I finally find the subscription no and cancel right away.
Then I email the Ibill support to fix that bug ( sayign that I'm a webmaster etc ), but the lady only replies 2 days later "thank you for contacting out staff. We encourage you to join again" or some similar BS ( then I surprisingly find out that the 3 day trial is in fact a 18 day trial, but I already made a separate thread about it ).
3. Today I want to join a new sponsor program with my .info email adress, but the application is denied - "please enter your valid adress, like
[email protected]" - and I have to fill in all fields again.
so it's a really hard adult webmaster life, if your main site is a dot info
What's the site? Wait two months and you'll probably know it
