There is just no logic in cutting out all carbs your body needs just to lose weight at a phenomenal rate. Most all quick weight loss is unhealthy and when you reach your goal and stop the diet, you are much more likely to gain that weight back just as fast plus extra.
Just wanted to give you guys some info, I'd like to see us all get healthy and fit but not at the risk causing possible damage.
You can count me in.

Obviously you don't know about the Atkins way of life. You DO eat carbs...healthy carbs...green vegetables...low glycemic carbs. In the weight loss stage you eat anywhere from 20-50 grams of carbs a day. During the maintenance stage you can eat as many healthy low glycemic carbs as you want to without gaining weight. I do agree with you that when you stop dieting you are likely to gain back any weight that you lost. But as stated in the books Atkins has out, this is not a diet...it is meant to be a way of life.
