Being a pap is like fishing -- you have to spend a lot of time, have the right equipment, and know where to catch the big fish to make it pay-off.

Standing around outside clubs and restaurants makes no money -- as you usually have about 10 other paps there with you. To make the big $$$ you have to look for the exclusive shots, which means spending time and money to get the shots.

I spent a fortune chasing Brangelina from Canada to LA to Ft. Lauderdale, and then to the Dominican Republic -- but it paid off ;)
