The concert I went to was May 10, 1985 in Orlando.
No cameras allowed but I can't read and nobody stopped me at the door
It was standing room only on the floor and I was about 10 people from the stage. I remember when she first came out the place erupted in screams and when it came time to sing the first words the place went dead silent so they could hear her and then went crazy again. It was surreal.
Back then it was film cameras and I had only one roll of low speed film and no flash. Add to that standing in the crowd that was moving back and forth whether I wanted to or not and it was about the worst conditions for taking pictures. I never expected to get that far to begin with.
Being 6' 7" I was standing head and shoulders above the rest and must have stood out as Madonna kept keying on me. When she sang " Like a Virgin " in the wedding dress and layed on the floor she rolled over and started to crawl on stage looking straight at me. It was surreal.
One roll of 24 and all of the shots suck but it was one night I'll never forget.
