Garífuna, spoken by the Caribbean black or garinagu (plural of garífuna) is a language of amerindian origin, which it derives from the Igneri languages (of the group arawak) and kalibi (of the Caribbean group), and has a strong influence of the African languages, as well as of frances,el English and the Spanish. In the Caribbean language of the Island San Vicente a linguística division based on the sort existed (masculine, feminine), the women always were carrying of the language arawak within the red Caribbean group, which is reflected until today in the language garífuna, in which the speech of the woman differs from the man. This aspect is conserved of certain form at the present time.
