What kind of girls, exactly? Consistently good looking ones? Ones that know how to talk and make eye contact into a camera? Ones that will work with someone besides their boyfriend?
I've been doing this six years, and I've shot 2000+ scenes, and I've almost never shot anything worthwhile with strippers (I'm assuming that's what "Barefootsies" is) nor escorts/whores. Porn girls and escorts and strippers share almost nothing in common...except being in the sex industry.

Ever wonder why the same 10 dudes (give or take) were in every porno from about 1975 to 2000? Even with the net, the *good* male talent is slim. In LA, to get good talent (big dicks, big pops, hold wood, and carry a good scene) is still not an easy gig.

Disagreed. Locations don't have to be fancy, but remember this: sex workers, for the most part, don't make very good house guests. I used to shoot amateurs away from LA, and it's always fun to have some knucklehead, dipshit, amateur dude show up at your place at 3am, high on coke, with two of his coke whores "ready to make some porn!" Or just, in general, to know where you're living. I'm not even going to mention other variables: neighbors, school zones, if you have nice stuff in your house you intend to keep...
