OK. No one I know really does this in adult, and EVERYONE in mainstream does.
You want a logo and a logotype. The logo is the nike swoosh, the logotype is the word nike.
Separate them in the brief.
Is 'fire' not just a bit obvious? I would prefer to see a more abstract logo (icon) that you can then use elements of in all aspects of your design, cementing the branding. I am not sure 'fire' really does that.
This is, of course, just my opinion.
(also, get the logo and logotype done in mono first, agree those and then start playing with colour)
