ironic how mother nature/god took 20,000 buddhst from a country 99% of us never heard of before today....i guess mother nature/god can count on the jews, moslems, christians and catholics to do eathother in rather than strike down 20 thousand of them with a wet fart

you're being myopic. "god" is killing and giving life to millions and billions in all sorts of ways at each and every moment. you are focusing on a single event at the exclusion of all others.
the fact is that death is a part of life - "god" or not. people died because people die. that's what we do.
after we die we will be born again - either our molecules will go back into the universe from which we came, in which case we will in time come again from the universe. OR our "spirit" will migrate to a new situation. Spirit or no, there is reincarnation - so it's not a DISASTER that people die. and don't "blame" god or the universe. blame yourself for attachement to material things which makes you wish vainly that you didn't die.
