That aside, yes, scripts get optioned, the studios foot the bill for everything. Deal can and often does include a % of the gross.
Your question essentially is, why not make standard one fits all suits, and then if people particularly like them they may well order to measure.
I can make standard one fits all for people who want that, but I am also offering tailored to measure suits for people that would like... you know... fit ?
I'm not even sure how this can be explained any clearer. Maybe this will help : Write five pages about some person you will first meet later tonight. Better yet. Write a CV for same. Does that help ?
I don't see how offering people a partnership is quick easy money. To me it'd seem partnerships are long term. But as you say, heck do I know.
As an aside, this thread is quite the window into the reality of how critically undercapitalized most adult "entrepreneurs" are, which tells a story of shrinkage and economic pressure all by itself.

Didn't say that they had to be standard ones and I know that you're not writing movie scripts, but to have a GOOD porn movie with a GOOD storyline it will require a GOOD script. You can write custom ones and standard ones depending on the budget of the company. So what exactly were you planing to do? Write a regular story and whoever would partner up with you would have to go through the whole thing and split up lines for the characters and all that shit? So your job is simply writing a story yet still make a %'s of the income?
Sorry to say, but not even a crack whore would go for that. Obviously you don't understand what I'm saying at all. Lets see if I can break it down in easy steps.
1. Write a bunch of good stories. (Standard ones and make sure to copyright them)
2. Show them to people who might be interested (The standard ones are used as examples)
3. If you have people interested ask them if they would like a custom one. They can give you the rough idea they want and you write according to the info that they give you
4. you sell it to them
After awhile you would gather up more clients IF your work is good. Your current idea is only beneficial to you. Ya, they may get to use your story, but in the process they are paying for EVERYTHING while you pay for nothing. I guess I should tell sponsors that when I send them sales no matter if they stay I still get paid 50% or more every month for life.
For what you want all I would give you as a %'s is MAYBE 3% and that's being generous. All I'm saying is that you need to rethink your approach.
