It was at a red light and they were one lane over and slightly forward from me. I just happened to look in their direction and they, apparently having been waiting for me to look their way, immediately waved at me. I jokingly tried to do some improvised sign language, pantomiming talking on a phone, then writing something, i.e. let's exchange phone numbers. They just looked confused when their dad turned around and saw me from the drivers seat and went APESHIT. He looked like he was about to jump out of the car and I nearly shit myself.
