High-Level Officials Warn of Fake Terror
Source: George Washington's Blog
A variety of current and former high-level officials have recently warned that the Bush administration is attempting to instill a dictatorship in
America, and will itself carry out a fake terrorist attack in order to obtain one.
Background
FBI agents, Time Magazine, Keith Olbermannand The Washington Postand Rolling Stone have all stated that the administration has issued terror
alerts based on scant intelligence in order to rally people around the flag when the administration was suffering in the polls. This implies ? as an
initial matter only ? that the administration will play fast and loose with the facts in order to instill fear for political purposes
More to the point, a former prominent republican congressman stated that the U.S. is close to becoming a totalitarian society and that the Bush
administration is using fear to try to ensure that this happens.
General Tommy Franks stated that if another terrorist attack occurs in the United States "the Constitution will likely be discarded in favor of a
military form of government".
Current U.S. Congressman Ron Paul stated, the government "is determined to have martial law", and that the government is hoping to get the
people "fearful enough that they will accept the man on the white horse"
And Daniel Ellsberg, the famous Pentagon Papers whistleblower, said "if there is another terror attack, "I believe the president will get what he
wants", which will include a dictatorship.
Terror on U.S. Citizens by American Government?
But would the government actually kills its own people to instill sufficient fear so that it can get what it wants? Read what the following very smart
people are saying, and then judge for yourself:
A retired 27-year CIA analyst who prepared and presented Presidential Daily Briefs and served as a high-level analyst for several presidents,
stated that if there was another major attack in the U.S., it would lead to martial law. He went on to say:
"We have to be careful, if somebody does this kind of provocation, big violent explosions of some kind, we have to not take the word of the
masters there in Washington that this was some terrorist event because it could well be a provocation allowing them, or seemingly to allow them
to get what they want."
The former CIA analyst would not put it past the government to "play fast and loose" with terror alerts and warnings and even events themselves in
order to rally people behind the flag
..... ....... .........
--------------------------
Most crucial now are Presidential Directive #51, Executive Orders #13303, #13315, #13350, #13364, #13422, #13438, and more, by which
Bush has granted himself an immense arsenal of powers for which the term ?dictatorial? is a modest understatement.
..........
It?s well established that Richard Nixon?mentor to Karl Rove and Dick Cheney?commissioned the Huston Plan, which detailed how to cancel
the 1972 election.
Today we must ask: who would stop this administration from taking dictatorial power in the instance of a ?national emergency? such as a terror
attack at a nuclear power plant or something similar?
Nothing in the behavior of this Congress indicates that it is capable of significant resistance. Impeachment seems beyond it. Nor does it seem
Congress would actually remove Bush if it did put him on trial.
Short of that, Bush clearly does not view anything Congress might do as a meaningful impediment. After all, how many divisions does the
Congress command?
The Supreme Court, as currently constituted, would almost certainly rubber stamp a Bush coup. If not, like Jackson, he could ignore it as easily as
he would ignore Congress.
What does that leave? There is much idle speculation now about what the armed forces would do. We also hear loose talk about ?90 million gun
owners.?
From the public side, the only conceivable counter-force might be a national strike or an effective long-term campaign of general
non-cooperation.
But we can certainly assume the mainstream media will give lock-step support to whatever the regime says and does. It?s also a given that those
likely to lead the resistance will immediately land in those new prisons being built by Halliburton et. al.
So how do we cope with the harsh realities of such a Bush/Cheney/Rove dictatorial coup?
=========================
Will Bush Cancel The 2008 Election?
It is time to think about the ?unthinkable.?
The Bush Administration has both the inclination and the power to cancel the 2008 election.
Let?s presume the unthinkable occurs. What would happen if there was a ?terrorist attack? upon the United States, prompting the president to
declare a state of ?national emergency?, and taking control of the National Guards of the States, and activating the military detainment camps that
have been prepared?
Would you fight, flee, or fester?
If you would fight against the imposition of totalitarian rule in this country, how would you do so?
If you would flee, where would you go?
If you would fester, how would you cope?

The GOP strategy for another electoral theft in 2008 has taken clear shape, though we must assume there is much more we don?t know.
But we must also assume that if it appears to Team Bush/Cheney/Rove that the GOP will lose the 2008 election anyway (as it lost in Ohio 2006)
we cannot ignore the possibility that they would simply cancel the election. Those who think this crew will quietly walk away from power are simply
not paying attention.
The real question is not how or when they might do it. It?s how, realistically, we can stop them.
