Um they still use beef flavoring dude, they never stopped since they switched oils. Here ya go

French Fries:
Potatoes, vegetable oil (partially hydrogenated soybean oil, natural beef flavor (wheat and milk derivatives)*, citric acid (preservative), dextrose, blah blah blah...
Now many many years ago they used to fry their fries in a combination of about 7-10 percent cottonseed oil and about 90 to 93 percent beef tallow. Roughly in 1990 they caught flack for how much cholesterol their fries had so they switched to pure vegetable oil (nothing to do with vegetarians by the way). That is when they said they added the natural ingredient (beef flavor). - Notice no soaking in broth either, flavor comes from oil.
