Shit in some places its smart for a person to let their house get foreclosed on since its the only way to get out from under them. In a married couple, have the house in only 1 persons name and the OTHER person would still have great credit. Even with todays revised bankruptcy laws you can still rack up a ton of debt just to watch it wash away. you just have to be a little smarter about it and span it across more time.
