Man Arrested for Assaulting Underage Girls
Eternal Seven’s Tattoo and Piercing has since closed down, but police say it was there in 2005 that Michael Miller lured underage girls saying he would pierce them illegally and for free.
Michael D. Miller or “Iguana Mike”, as he was commonly known, used his MySpace page to lure young girls.
“Somebody would message him, saying I really like your work, I'm under age what's your policy? He would send back messages saying, don't worry about that, just come in and we'll talk about it,” said an acquaintance of Miller, and a piercing artist, Ben Trigg.
And the talks were disturbing. In reports obtained by 11 News, police say on one occasion a girl was told she could pay Miller by taking off her pants, he proceeded to assault her.
“He was known in certain circles to be doing this behavior, we'd all heard about the MySpace page,” said Trigg.
Veterans in the industry say they're shocked by the behavior.
“It's outrageous, nobody should be working on minors, none the less trading sexual favors,” said 35 year tattoo veteran Snake Yates.
Police began investigating Miller after one of the girls reported the assault to a school counselor. They believe he has more victims, because of advertisements that he would put in industry magazines.
“The victims we've been in touch with said they knew of other victims pierced by him,” said Sgt. Creighton Brandt with Colorado Springs Police.
Miller was arrested on charges of sexual assault and child prostitution, both are class three felonies.
