The same thing normal sausages and hamburgers have? Beef flavouring??? lol.
Normal sausages are half vegetarian already there is so much cereal in them. Thats why vegetarian hotdogs are so incredibly close to the "real" thing.. instead of a bit of offal mixed in with cereal and beef flavoured, it's just plant offal, cereal and beef flavouring. Almost no differences.. both taste the same.. one has less anuses in it. There is a reason why vege burgers and fake sausages/hotdogs "work" (although there are certain ones that don't try and taste like meat and yeah obviously those don't taste the same and are just vegetables in a pattie or sausage).
Change the comparison to a more toned down natural flavour like a fake chicken breast or something that isn't as flavoured because the natural flavour is sufficient, like bacon and you'll see the vege stuff start to taste bad in comparison. Although the chinese are actually a lot further ahead on this stuff after a couple thousand years of not eating meat and they get a hell of a lot closer than any hippy brand you'll find in the supermarket.
