Make sure the model you get has a drive spin-down feature. It will shut off the drive when it's not being used and spin it back up when you need to access it. It usually takes only a couple of seconds but can dramatically increase the lifespan of the drive. Most drives get "cooked" inside of the enclosure since they are built so air tight.
