I see where you are coming from, here's my point of view. Serra is a terror at BJJ. I mean the guy is fucking good, so good it's his nickname.
GSP has problems finishing guys who are good on their back, with BJJ. BJ Penn, Mayhem Miller, come to mind. He got decisions on those guys. Serra's BJJ is pretty good, I'd say better than Mayhem's, almost as good as BJ. I think Serra would give GSP a really good run for this fight if it goes to the ground.
GSP does his best on the ground against wrestlers. Look at what he did to Koscheck, arguably one of the best wrestlers in the UFC, and we saw what he did to Hughes, another very good wrestler. Wrestlers hate to be on their back, and it shows. I'll give both Kos and Hughes props for learning BJJ, but at their core, they are wrestlers.
