Sorry, but you're entirely wrong.
When talking about websites, creating something that gets millions of hits a day is extremely hard, and typically requires a significant amount of luck.
On the other hand, creating a large amount of automated small sites isn't all that hard, and requires very little luck - just a lot of work. Eventually, you will find some things which work well, and you can just increase the scale when you do.
Here's how to get rich online:
1. Find something that works well.
2. Scale the fuck out of it.
If you're determined and not a complete idiot, you can do it.
