Then I guess you could say that about every president (or any elected official) we've ever had.
Almost always, the winner of an election is the person who raised the most money.
They don't win BECAUSE of the money however.....polls push money more than money pushes polls, and people like to donate to a winner, so success brings in more money and it's a self-perpetuating cycle.
Obama is the only candidate in this race who isn't taking money from PAC's or federal lobbyists....he has over 1.3 million donors and his average donation is $109.
So how is it that he's buying the presidency?
