As I remember, the beach was disgusting. People walk or ride horses and donkey on the beach, so there's equine shit all over the place... and there seemed to be people collecting the shit too. And there was a lot of seaweed and garbage lying around too. I went down to the beach exactly once during the four days I was there. The place was a lot of fun though... plenty of places to drink and eat, and lots of hot chicks.
I stayed at one of the best hotels overlooking the beach, right in the middle of town, so it was pretty busy. Maybe the beaches outside of town are better.
