Do you have to include 1099 form with return or no?
Do you have to actually show the 1099 forms to your CPA or is it enough to give the total income with everything included? I'd rather not have to hand them over if I can avoid it.
I remember being told that it's not necessary because you don't have to actually mail the 1099 forms in to the IRS and because 90 percent of the 1099's I received from sponsors says "Copy B for Recipient" and they don't even have a separate copy to file with the tax form, so it's just for my records, so therefore I assume I don't have to show them to the CPA and include them with my return.
Is this correct?
My CPA never asked for them last year at all, I still want to make sure though because I have different CPA this yr.
