Another aspect is what someone earns in one week is not always sustainable over a number of years,I have interviewed performers getting huge amounts one month and 0 the next.
And your also correct in mainstream ... small gigs and tv shows the pay is terrible and I think it would surprise a lot of people to see the difference in pay between a known star and a semi or unknown mainstream star.

I didnt mean to go against your 200-300k range, I was just stating the basic idea of a decent living if your not life styling it and supporting a few others in process. Of course feature dancing and such is just extra padding. Also have no real issue with them hooking in brothels either. I am just saying that one could come in with right pace and if they kept head on shoulders, they could walk away a few years latter fairly set.
As for the PS. NY is a no, San fran is a maybe, Vegas is most likely, florida is also most likely.
