Tony 404 is right but you are young so I know you wanna fight.
If you really wanna handle a situation like this ever again do it yourself. Catch the guy while away from anyone else seeing you two. Bust his ass privately and tell him just to shut up about it and if you ever hear of this happeneing again it will be worse next time.
Long term results come from doing it in private. As of now you just got a few more problems.
