True story - one of my buddies from my Navy days was offered a sweet paying job in Alaska as a VW mechanic.
After about three months, I get a call from him asking me to pick him up at the San Francisco airport. Apparently he was working under a car, and his long hair and beard froze to the ground. He had to use a knife to cut himself free.
It was quite a sight, watching him get off the plane, looking like Grizzly Adams on one side, and all buzz cut on the other side - and lugging a big old duffle bag loaded with tools AND clothes...you would had to have seen it - it was hilarious!
