Must be wonderful to live in your world where it can be left to ALL parents to look after children. In my world we have self discipline but when it fails we have the back up of the State. These parents obviously are not in control of their children well enough, do you think Netnanny will help? You can't have a world without control, because all that results is scenes like this and control being passed over to people like this.
Yes YouTube and any other networking site should be held responsible for what's on their site and how it effects kids. If they can't control what's on their site the answer is simple, take it down. The world can live without networking sites and children beating up children to put the video on YouTube is not a price I'm willing to pay for "freedom".
Strange kind of freedom where parents are scared of what can happen to their child because of others exercising their freedom.
