I have read your post and I'm a little confused how to obviously answer your question with utmost scrutiny......based on my findings I will give you my answer. It seems to be some kind of "inside" type joke that is semi funny to the uninitiated. Or it just seems to be. Which could be the reaction you anticipated... other then that I'm going to go down to the harbor and pickup some swordfish steaks fresh off the boat.
