When I first got in this biz I changed hosts every few months, then when I found Techie I settled down and stayed for 3+ years because the support and quality were so good.
Then I had a touch of amnesia about how bad some of my hosting experiences had been, so I left for one of those cut-rate 'we'll match or beat any price' type of hosts when they offered me a much cheaper deal than I was getting.
A couple of months of support nightmares later, I left them for another host, this one with a stellar reputation for quality and support, when they had a special that would match the price I was getting from the cut-rate host.
Even then, these guys couldn't carry Techie Media's jock when it comes to support/quality/speed and uptime.
After that, I
RAN back to Techie Media, more than happy to pay more money in order to sleep well at night knowing that my servers will be up and the network will be fast. (Although bandwidth pricing has changed since then...so now I'm not paying more, I'm just getting more)
