But not all scientists agree on ANY subject. There will always be a minority opposition to most any theory bar gravity. I mean how long were the pro-tabacco scientists publishing their findings for?
At the moment pro-climate changers have many more highly regarded scientists than the opposing team and science is one of the few areas where might does tend to equal right. Even though of course this isn't always and sometimes spectacularly not the case (stomach ulcers et al)
I'm a buck against the trend kinda guy historically, but sunspots and water vapour as a greenhouse gas, plus research grants as financial incentive just don't do it for me on this one based on the counter arguments.
Also i'll take issue with the ignoring of critics, I don't know about there.. but over here we have regular deniers in the media. Most of the broadsheets have at least one conservative columnist that writes about how much of a fraud it is and even the ABC which is left wing aired "The Great Global Warming Swindle".. the friction between the sides makes for good drama and the media knows that. I acknowledge that they are outnumbered by "pro" articles but thats only because numerically so are such a small group.. It's like comlaining about there being no black people on "Friends" when 1 in 10 Americans are black.. Odds are any given group of people that size are 100% white. (and a relief to not be forced to accept any "tokens")
That said, anti climate changers are a very vocal minority and I believe they punch above their weight and actually get more press than their numbers would normally deserve because of the drama/interest/political alignment/finance their stand wields.
