uptime guarantees cover network and power, nothing to do with an individual server FYI.
No host that I have ever heard of offers an SLA (Service Level Agreement) on actual server uptime because there's no way to without you paying a lot of money and having multiple servers mirroring the same content.

Anyways, so was it just your sites hacked? Could very well be that its one of your scripts' fault because it was insecure and had a hole in it. Very common cause of hacks.
