Nope, I don't think that. Of course we have other interest. You really cannot be serious if you think ANY country, be it the US, France, England, or Iraq, will invest both money and supplies to a country that they have nothing to gain from. How would you explain that to tax payers who can hardly pay their mortgage? How would you explain that to the homeless on the streets? How would you explain it?
There are many reasons to invade Iraq, oil isn't the only one. If oil were the only reason, we'd invade someone else. There are many reasons, but that's for a different thread.
But bottom line, my point was the US is attempting to take out a dictator. Regardless of the reasons, many people want to see dictatorships go the way side, correct? So why are people so pissed off? They get what they want, we get what we want.
From now on, every time I see someone say the US should send money or supplies to another country to help out their people, I'm going to say fuck off. Why give money to some ungrateful fucks? They'll still get the money, doesn't mean I have to like it...
