My lady is the same exact way. We have a floor standing fan for the winter and a fan that fits in the window for the warmer months and neither of us can sleep without it.
I am used to sleeping with the TV on - always have been and it helps me fall asleep but since we moved in together, she's totally against having a TV in the bedroom since i like to leave it on all night and not set the sleep timer.
Not to mention she doesn't want a huge TV brightening up the room while she's trying to sleep.
Funny someone would bring this up though.
