Today, when negro is used outside of a historic context you raise a few eyebrows. Especially when trying to use it as a racial term in a modern context. Which is exactly why I think it's no longer acceptable to be used as such.

Sorry if it's so unacceptable they'd change the name. They don't. So negro IS acceptable. So is colored. NAACP. The C stands for COLORED. Any black person that doesn't like it can suck my dick. Those terms are more correct thna AFRICAN American. Obama is an African American because his dad was from Kenya. Most blacks in the US would have to go back at least 7-8 generations before finding someone in their family that actually came from Africa.
