I wonder why I've never seen any credible scientific evidence to substantiate the claim that porn "addiction" even exists...Oh wait, now I remember--it's because there is no such evidence.
Are there people who allow porn to become an out-of-control, negative force in their lives? Hmmm...given what I've seen of human nature, I'd have to say the answer is most likely a resounding "Yes!" There are also people who allow religion to become an out-of-control, negative force in their lives, but I doubt there are many folks who'd show much sympathy for people flapping about and whining how they've been victimized by "religion addiction."
...so why we so willing to put up with this "porn addiction" nonsense?
If you're conflicted about your own involvement in this industry, fine. But you shouldn't allow your own confusion to lead you into legitimizing claims that are utterly baseless. And that's what claims of porn "addiction" are: entirely without merit.
To those who will respond vociferously to this post without bothering to so much as read it, let alone give it fair consideration, I say unto thee, go and fuck thyself.
