I have some uhhh past experience in these matters... I even once won Overgrow.com picture of the month for my magical creation called Rosebud.. Wish I could find the picture, or that the FBI didn't take down overgrow so we could all enjoy it... But alas!
I have a few questions, I'm hoping someone here can help.
#1 - Tick's Organic Soil Mix.
Most times you use A + B chemical fertilizer (aka dutch nutrients) every time you water generally. At overgrow this guy named Tick posted his "Tick's organic soil mix" recipe, where you basically mix all this stuff up at the beginning, and then you never need to fertilize. The nutrients just are used up as they're needed by the plant - just add water!
I got some crazy results using said formula, but when Overgrow went down.. So did the recipe.
I remember some of the things in it:
- Promix BX
- Worm Castings
- Bone Meal
- Blood Meal
Could have also included things like bat guano, glacial rocks, etc.. I'd be guessing with these though.
If anyone could do some google mastery and find this thread or the recipe / mix, it would be appreciated! I've tried a bit, no luck yet.
#2 - Does anyone have experience with expensive seeds? I know genetics are important, but is spending hundreds of dollars on seeds really the difference maker?
3# - I'm curious if these circular "omega garden" type systems work well, where a cylinder turns around a two lights, and dips the roots in the water reservoir once each revolution of the wheel.
Anyone seen one in action, does it work as well as it's supposed to?
