This isn't a zero-sum game, you know... raising spending while cutting taxes is fine so long as the tax cuts stimulate the economy enough to make up for the initial loss in revenue. That's the theory, anyway, and I happen to believe it works. Case and point - virtually every dollar I don't pay in taxes is spent on goods and services, or else reinvested into my business. I can sure as hell make better and less wasteful choices about what to do with my money than some bureaucrat.
